Thursday 9 July from 8pm ELECTRIC PICNIC

When a dalliance with speed dating turns into a marathon evening of embarrassment, lies and gassy cider from a can, Jen thinks she may be having the worst night of her life. Having a considerably better time of it is Joe, a keen but misplaced local lad, who unwittingly becomes her unappreciated saviour. As Jen’s luck takes a series of turns for the worst, Joe doggedly clings on for the ride in the utterly misguided hope that he might win her. Don’t miss this premiere performance of Electric Picnic’s brand spanking new comedy caper!

Electric Picnic is a newly established theatre company, writing and producing original plays for a contemporary audience. EP begs, borrows and steals tales worth telling to create new works through our collective ‘writing-tank’. The company, based in Plymouth, is dedicated to raising the profile of small-scale theatre in the city. Further afield, Electric Picnic is earning a reputation for producing excellent and inventive work on a commission basis.
