THIS WEEK
Thursday 13 May from 9pm
WILL MCNICOL

Born in Scotland twenty years ago and now living in the South of England, Will McNicol began his classical guitar training at the age of seven and currently holds two diplomas in classical guitar recital with Trinity College London.

He started composing five years ago and has since developed a unique style of his own, combining acoustic tapping and slapping techniques with the more conventional classical approach. He has performed spell-binding sets supporting a variety of artists from the folk legend Martin Simpson to the indie stylings of Kid Harpoon.
"This classically trained guitarist treats his guitar the way a horny thirteen-year-old treats his body."

Into these varied textures, Fana weave poetry, story and song. Original material is interspersed with arrangements of traditional songs from around the world.
